Heart Rock Reminders

Help me spread kindness one heart at a time.

Hi, I'm Tom "The Heart Rock Guy".

Heart rocks are physical reminders that you matter, you're loved, and you're not alone. You can keep your heart rock for as long as you need it—maybe your whole life. You can use heart rocks to reach out to the people around you, and they might keep it their whole life!

As of December 2024, I've done 104 school assemblies, hundreds of community events, and distributed over 250,000 heart rocks. These hearts have been used to strengthen family ties, deepen friendships, and even intervene and prevent at least 114 potential deaths by suicide.

Help me distribute 1 MILLION heart rocks by Thanksgiving 2029.

Your Mission: Share a heart rock with a friend, loved one, or community member every day for 20 days!

There are many ways to create a moment of genuine connection with a heart rock! You can write someone a personal message that they'll associate with their heart evert time they see it (with one of our affirmation cards, if you prefer!), you can leave hearts in public places for someone to find just in the right moment, or even give it to a total stranger. Simply put one in your pocket before you leave home, and the moment will present itself some time during the day. Just keeping a heart rock with you shifts your mindset. You'll be on the lookout for opportunities to connect with others and brighten the lives of people around you.

No matter how you approach it, you're reminding yourself and those around you that you matter, you are important, you are loved, and you have the power to create powerful moments of kindness.

You can also do this as a family activity, or with a class, youth group, student council, etc. Have fun!
